Hands-on experience in developing CMM, AMM, and Parts Catalogue.
Previous experience on Aero Domain and current experience on CMMs authoring is preferred.
Familiar and hands-on experience in various technical publications tools
Sound knowledge of Tech pub standards like S1000D, ATA 100, ATA iSpec 2200, ASD-STE 100, and Simplified Technical English.
Ability to work in an environment using Common Source Data Base (CSDB).
Awareness of various OEM business rules while working on S1000D projects.
Responsible for the on-time delivery and quality of the projects.
Good oral and writing skills, Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Must have excellent oral, written, and organizational skills.
Familiarity with S1000D Suite, Adobe Acrobat Professional, PTC Arbortext editor, PTC Arbortext IsoDraw, Creo, Catia V5, PDM, and Visualizations Mockup will be beneficial.
Technical writing training/certification will be an added advantage.
Understanding of functioning, disassembly, Assembly, Cleaning, Inspection, and Repair of components/assemblies
Proficient in interpreting Engineering Drawings, GD&T
Proficiency in written and spoken English. Knowledge of the usage of STE standards in Technical Publications
Job Descriptions :
Coordinate Technical Publications and Document Control groups consistent with the goals and objectives of the department. Responsible for developing the work execution methodology and development of standard work instructions. Research and review engineering design drawings, engineering orders, and related technical data defining component/assembly modifications and determine their effect on technical manuals and publications such as EMM, CIR, IPC, AMM, CMM, etc. This includes:
Studying the supplied inputs
Request additional information if required, from engineering (Query management).
Quality review of the Documents for formatting correctness presentation
Quality review of the Documents for Technical correctness and language checks
Release Audits of the deliverables to make sure that the product follows all the processes defined in the plan
Preparing checklists as per the project requirements to validate and verify the quality of documents. Ensure that all quality metrics are within the agreed parameters. Errors discussion, mentoring, recording new learnings, preparing skill gap analysis. Preparation of training modules and imparting the training to the new team members.
