Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)
- 2 years of experience in an IT support environment with technical experience in distributed technologies and systems development
- Experience with systems (both infrastructure and applications) management, diagnostics, and support
- Familiarity with networking, server, and storage technologies
- Familiarity with n-tier architectures
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field
- 2 years of experience leading technical or project teams with or without direct reports
- 1 year of work experience in an IT role requiring interaction with senior management (i.e., Director level or higher)
- 2 years of experience working in a large matrixed organization
- 2 years of experience working with third party IT vendors and/or systems solution providers
- 2 years of IT experience in the retail industry
- 2 years of experience writing technical documentation in an infrastructure development environment
- Knowledge of one or more of the following: Unix/Linux/Windows server administration experience (RedHat); Configuration management and automation tools; Database administration experience (RDBMS, NoSQL); Messaging technologies (MQ. Kafka); Web Servers Experience (Apache, Nginx); Application containers (Jboss); Core Services – NTP, proxy, mail, DNS; IT security; Public/Private Cloud technology; Scripting languages; Object-oriented languages; Big Data technologies (Splunk)
- Systems Administration
- Experience working with an IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework (systems administration related qualification)
- Experience providing first or second level support for enterprise IT systems in a corporate setting, including diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving incidents (systems administration related qualification)
- Experience working with defect or incident tracking software (systems administration related qualification)
