About Company : The Learning Platforms team is seeking a Systems Design Engineer to join our distributed team remotely in India. As a key member of our team, you will be working on the landscape of Red Hat Training products, including Red Hat Learning Subscription , Red Hat Academy Learning Platform , Red Hat Skills Assessment , Survey tools, and more. You’ll be working with both front-end and back-end parts of an application.
You will be a part of a team distributed across North America, South America, Europe and Asia, and will get to work with the following technical stack: Python, Django REST API, React, Typescript, Elasticsearch, Open Shift. You will work both on your own and in tight collaboration and regular communication with other team members. You will get to drive features to completion in a collaborative environment: from initial design through implementation, to testing and go-live.

- Demonstrated interest in software, information technology (IT), intellectual property (IP), or related legal issues
- Prior understanding of the contract negotiations in the technology or. software industry; solid knowledge of commercial contracting law and related issues such like IP and licensing
- Excellent communication skills demonstrated through your work experience, including the ability to explain complicated concepts in simple, audience-appropriate terms
- Analytical, negotiation, and drafting skills demonstrated through your work experience
- Exceptional organizational skills with an ability to manage simultaneous projects under deadline pressure
- Ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining a firm focus on problem-solving
- Experience with NDAs and revenue and sales contracts is a big plus
- Ability to speak and negotiate in a second language is a plus

The Red Hat Legal team is looking for a Trainee to join our new Global Legal and Compliance Center of Excellence (CoE) in New Delhi, India supporting the global Commercial Legal function. In this role, you will work on a globally distributed team of lawyers and contract specialists to support the Red Hat sales and procurement teams in structuring, negotiating, and closing contracts. You’ll also collaborate with our finance and product management teams and assist Red Hat counsel with commercial legal functions. As a Trainee, you’ll need to have excellent communication skills to interact with internal and external business clients while addressing complex issues in an accurate and clear, yet thorough manner. You should have passion for technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Review, revise, and negotiate non-disclosure agreements (NDAs)
- Provide support and assistance to Red Hat’s commercial attorneys worldwide
- Assist with master software subscription agreements, master services agreements and statements of work (SoWs), partner agreements for resellers, distributors, and cloud providers, and procurement agreements
- Help educate customers about open source licensing and Red Hat’s subscription business model
- Help support our global Sales team
