Qualification :
- 0.6 to 2+ years of experience in Compliance, Legal, or Risk in the securities industry
- Any Graduate Candidate
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Conduct independent reviews, re-performance, and trend analysis of accounts, clients, and Financial Advisors flagged by supervisory alerts
- Identify potential sales practice, product trade, and suitability concerns
- Recommend corrective action plans to address significant sales practice and suitability issues
- Provide guidance on compliance policies, securities regulations (including Blue Sky State Laws), and suitability issues to Market and Regional Risk Officers
- Develop and deliver training sessions on product trade reviews and compliance topics for Market and Regional Risk Officers
- Analyze metrics and KPIs to identify Market/Regional issues
- Evaluate trading activity to detect Blue Sky Law violations, including Regulation S and Rule 144A
- Identify, escalate, and act on significant risks and themes found during monitoring
- Review and update Blue Sky Securities Profiles as needed
- Offer guidance and trade support to Financial Advisors via the Blue Sky Hotline
Requirements:
- Proficient in using Bloomberg Terminal for data analysis, research, and market insight
- Strong understanding of sales practice and suitability concerns around retail products
- Extensive knowledge of Fixed Income, Equities, Options, Closed-End Funds, and Mutual Funds
- Experience researching and analyzing transactions for Blue Sky law compliance
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong follow-up abilities
- Sound judgment and understanding of regulatory requirements
- Team-oriented with a proactive and service-focused mindset
- Self-motivated and adaptable to changing priorities and multitasking
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management and prioritization abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and all Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of Bloomberg, TRACE, EMMA, and other market pricing/valuation tools
- Familiarity with FINRA, MSRB, and SEC rules and regulations
