Maersk Off Campus drive 2024 Eligibility Criteria :
- Engineering degree in Computer Science or similar field or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience within software engineering.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architecture preferably Kafka.
- Basic knowledge of DevOps practices and tools including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and containerization preferably Kubernetes.
- Experience and handling of infrastructure with any cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- A self-starter with the ability to work effectively in teams focused on Engineering.
- Excellent spoken/written communication in English.
- Knowledge in Linux administration.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with other messaging systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ) is a plus.
- Management and deployment of Microservices on Kubernetes.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
- Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) and one of programming languages (Python, Java, Go) for automation tasks.
Your responsibilities will be to:
- Assist in the design, deployment, and management there by to enhance the Event Streaming Platform product in Maersk with 100% automation
- Collaborate with the other engineering teams to automate the deployment and management of Kafka infrastructure.
- Monitor and maintain the health and performance of Kafka Ecosystem.
- Work on continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for Event management platform (kafka)
- Manage deployments in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and ensure best practices for security, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Take part in on-call rotations with the platform consumers (product development teams) and take the lead in preventing incidents and maintaining platform SLAs, through automation and blameless postmortems.
- Working directly with platform consumers and provide timely inputs and feedback to Product Manager to build new features and take active part in contributing to Product Roadmap.
- Keep up with the cutting edge in relevant technologies, and implementation of new solutions.
- Document & evangelize the platform across other teams within Maersk
- Help our platform consumers to use our platform to integrate applications and get quickly and securely into production with fast, agile iterations.
