Responsibilities:
The engineer’s role would be to support testing efforts for XR sw stack and adjacent technologies like game/3d app dev kits (unity 3d, unreal engine), connectivity (usb, wifi 6, Wifi 6E), multimedia(video, camera, graphics, audio, display). Primary responsibilities will be to write and execute testcases and device automation.
1.Evaluate technologies, systems, and devices through testing, logging and analysis.
2.Candidate must be able to create test environments using software and hardware tools.
3.Develop test procedures, execute tests, and isolate problems.
4.Develop automation systems for executing tests and parsing results.
5.Develop app/test content for exercising new features.
6.Actively study user experience to improve customer experience on Qualcomm MM solution across ARM based chipset product
The Engineer must have a good understanding of Augmented/Virtual Reality technologies and multimedia technologies of Graphics, Video and Camera.
Required Qualifications:
1.Experience working with Windows, Linux and Android.
2.Expertise on Windows and Linux OS concepts and tools – bat script, linux commands.
3.Expert in C/C++/Python programming
4.Outstanding problem-solving skills
5.Excellent communication and team working skills.
6.Physical presence in Qualcomm Bangalore office is expected
Minimum Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Preferred additional qualifications:
a. Expertise in Augmented/Virtual Reality technologies – 6DOF tracking, OpenXR, OpenVR, WebXR
b.Experience in testing applications/software on Windows, Linux and Android.
c.Experience with development of 3D experiences – games/apps using SDKs like Unity and Unreal.
d.Expertise in Video technologies – Video Decode & Encode techniques
e.Data analysis, automation and scripting – Python programming
f.Experience with image processing and computer graphics pipelines and architecture
g.Expertise in AI/Machine Learning technologies
h.Expertise in Wireless transmission systems for video and gaming applications and networking technologies – 802.11ad/ay, 802.11ac/ax
