About The Team
Grocery has the biggest share of the overall retail spend in India and is projected to be an $800B market in 2024-25, of which the majority contribution comes from non-Metro cities. The grocery market in Metro has become crowded with a lot of players trying to solve the supply chain but the higher cost of logistics restricts these players to disrupt the lower tier cities.
At Superstore, we are building the most cost-effective distribution channel to disrupt the grocery market in lower tier (non-Metro) cities of India which is currently dominated by offline players. We are onto the journey of creating a hyperlocal marketplace for grocery and solving the intermediate inefficiencies in the distribution system.
Superstore is an early-stage mini start-up within Meesho with a completely different supply chain and modus operandi. We are a bunch of high-energy enthusiasts working towards creating something cool and something big.
About The Role
As Associate for category operations, you will look after key metrics such as in-stock, fulfillment rate and inventory across warehouses. You will also, Identify process gaps centered around stock replenishment and inventory management. You will need to collaborate with category managers and warehouse teams to incorporate key constraints like Fulfillment TAT, MOQs, etc.
What Will You Do
- Generate product orders based on sales run rate and stock levels
- Coordinate with category team to ensure orders are communicated to sellers at the right time
- Coordinate with supply chain team to track orders are picked and inwarded at the warehouse
- Ensure low out of stock circumstances for products listed on the platform
- Create initiatives to maintain inventory levels as per warehouse space constraints
What You Will Need
- Strong Analytical skills, ability to use data to come up with solutions to problems
- Ability to Problem-solve using quantitative data on consumer insight
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholder management
- Minimum 1 year of experience in operations management role (grocery business experience preferred but not mandatory)
