NPCIL Recruitment 2020 for Freshers : Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) invites jobs notification for the post of Executive Trainees through GATE-2020 Score in various disciplines and for the post of Trade Apprentices at NPCIL/Kakrapar Gujarat Site in various disciplines for 90 vacancies and for Scientific Assistant/ Technician with 102 vacancies for its unit “Gorakhpur Haryana Anu Vidyut Pariyojana” and for Stipendiary Trainee (ST/TM)-Operator, Stipendiary Trainee (ST/TM)-Maintainer, Driver-cum-Pump Operator-cum-Fireman-A with 178 vacancies and for Trade Apprentices in various disciplines for 80 vacancies, totally 450 vacancies are available in NPCIL recruitment. Detailed Eligibility:
Educational Qualification:
For Scientific Assistant:
- Candidate must have Diploma in Engineering (Three Years after S.S.C.) OR HSC (10+2) + Two years Diploma course in Engineering (Approved by AICTE).
- Discipline: Civil / Mechanical / Electronics & Communication / Electronics / Electricals / Instrumentation Discipline with 60% or above marks and English as one of the subjects at SSC or HSC Level Examinations.
- Candidates who have pursued Diploma through Lateral entry to 2nd year Diploma after Xth (SSC) + ITI are NOT eligible.
For Technician:
- Minimum 60% marks in SSC or HSC with Science and Maths + Trade certificate of 1-year duration in Surveyor/ Draftsman/ Fitter/Turner/ Machinist/ Electrician/Wireman/ Electronics Mechanic/ Instrument Mechanic.
Note: Qualification for the above posts should be of full-time regular course only.

- For Technician: 18 to 25 Years

NPCIL Selection Process:
For Scientific Assistant:
Selection will be based on the written examination and interview.
Written Examination:
The written examination (Computer Based Test/OMR) will be of two hours duration having Two Parts i.e. Part-I consisting of 60 questions from English, General Knowledge and quantitative aptitude and Part-II will be of 60 questions from respective disciplines.
Qualifying Marks for Written Examination:
- For General category (UR): 45%
- For SC/ST/OBC: 35%.
For Technician:
Selection will be based on three stages i.e Stage-I Preliminary Test, Stage-II Advanced Test and Stage-III Skill Test
Stage-1- Preliminary Test (1 Hour Duration)
- The examination will comprise 50 multiple-choice questions of 01 hour duration
- 03 marks to be awarded for each correct answer and 01mark to be deducted for each incorrect answer
- Tests may be conducted in single/ multiple sessions depending upon logistics requirements
- Mathematics – 20 Questions
- Science – 20 Questions
- General Awareness – 10 Questions
Qualifying Marks:
- General Category (UR) – 40% marks
- SC/ST/OBC/PWBD – 30% marks
Stage-2-Advanced Test (2 Hours Duration):
- All candidates screened in Stage-1 to undertake an advanced test (Computer Based
Test) in their respective trade/discipline applicable for the post. - The Test will be of 02 hours duration.
- The level of questions will be related to their qualifying academic/professional/ technical qualification
- The Test will comprise 50 Multiple choice questions (Choice of four answers) with
03 marks to be awarded for each correct answer and 01 mark to be deducted for each incorrect answer.
Qualifying Marks:
- General Category (UR) – 30% marks
- SC/ST/OBC/PWBD – 20% marks
Stage 3: Skill Test:
- Based upon the merit list prepared after Stage-2, candidates in each trade will be shortlisted for Skill Test.
- The skill test will be of qualifying nature only on Go / No Go basis.

- Certificate Course in Fire Fighting equipment such as Fire Extinguisher etc. from the State Fire Training Centres.
