About the Company: C-DAC was created in November 1987, originally as the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing Technology (C-DACT). This was in response to issues purchasing supercomputers from foreign sources. After being denied a Craysupercomputer by the United States in 1987, due to military use concerns, India started a programme to develop an indigenous supercomputer and C-DAC was created as part of this programme. Supercomputers were considered a double-edged weapon capable of assisting in the development of nuclear weapons.

Educational Qualification:
Database Engineer:
- 1st Class B.E/B. Tech./MCA in relevant discipline with at least 11 years of post qualification work experience . OR
- Masters in Technology (M. Tech)/Masters in Engineering (M.E)in relevant discipline with at least 7 years of post qualification work experience. OR
- Ph.D. in relevant domainwith at least 4 years of post qualification work experience.

CDAC Recruitment of Project Engineer Selection Process:
- If applications are received in large numbers,there will be a written test,as deemed fitby themanagement.There will be an initial screening based on the academic records and other parameters given in the on-line application and only those screened-in candidates will be considered for further selection process.Mere fulfillment of the below mentioned qualifications etc., does not entitle a candidate to be called for written/skill test/ interview. Where number of applications received in response to an advertisement is large, it may not be convenient or possible for the Organization to call all the candidates to participate in selection process
