PRSC has MoUs with Panjab University, Chandigarh, Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana and Lovely Professional University. PRSC has been setup under the umbrella of National Natural Resources Information System (NNRMS) under the technical guidance of ISRO NNRMS.

Educational Qualification:
Geology, Water Resources And Geo-Informatics Division:
For Jr. Research Fellow( Web GIS Developer – Open Source):
- First class Graduate in Science / Technology / Engineering with First class Masters Degree in Computer Science,
Remote Sensing in GIS Geo-informatics, Geomatics and equivalent. - Desirable: Excellent knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Angular JS and J Query. Experience in Open Source GIS components like Open layers, leaflet. PostgreSQL, Post GIS, will be an added advantage.
For Jr. Research Fellow(Remote Sensing & GIS):
- First class Graduate in Science Technology Engineering with First Class Masters Degree in Remote Sensing / GIS Geo-informatics Geomatics / Spatial Sciences.
- Desirable: Excellent knowledge of Remote Sensing. Proficiency in Satellite Data processing using any mentioned scripting language (Python, R, MATLAB). Proficiency with PostgreSQL database will he an added/ advantage. Working with Geospatial data (SHP, KML, Geo jSON) well as OGC standards (WMS, WFS).
For Jr. Research Fellow(ios Based Mobile App Developer):
- First class Graduate in Technology / Engineering with First class First class Master’s in Information Technology (IT) / Computer Science (CS) / Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) / Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) and equivalent.
- Desirable: Good knowledge in iOS app design and development. Proficient with Objective-C or Swift. and Cocoa touch. Experience with IOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc. Experience with offline storage, threading and performance tuning.
For Project Fellow(.Net Developer):
- First class Graduate in Technology / Engineering (Information Technology (IT) / Computer Science and Engineering/ Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE).
- Desirable: Proficient knowledge of ASP.Net web form / MVC architecture, ADO.NET, HTML. CSS, J Query, AJAX, SQL Server. Good knowledge in database design and development. Proficiency in Windows and Linux platform.
Land Resource Utilities And Infrastructure (LRU&I) Division:
For Project Fellow(Open source CAD):
- Engineering Diploma in Draftsmanship/Civil Mechanical/ Computer / Survey with knowledge in computer and drafting tools with 6 months or more experience.
- Desirable: Excellent knowledge of CAD data digitization, manipulation and conversion. Should have knowledge of Open Source CAD Software for, date digitization. Knowledge of Utility Mapping and GIS projects will be added advantage. Good interpersonal skills.
Agro – Ecosystem And Crop Modelling Division:
For Research Fellow(Digital Image Analyst):
- First class Master’s degree in Remote Sensing and GIS/Geo-informatics/GIST from recognized and reputed institution/university with 1 year experience as JRF in the (field of applications of Remote Sensing & GIS Or
- First class Master’s degree in Agricultural Sciences/ Engineering/Geography/Forestry/Environmental Sciences with diploma in RS and GIS and 1 year experience as JRF the field of applications of Remote Sensing & Agriculture.
- Desirable: Candidates with working experience in Remote Sensing/GIS applications in Agriculture/Horticulture/ Ecology may be given preference. A proven record of writing projects reports research papers and Proficiency in Image Processing Software’s (Like ERDAS IMAGINE, PCI-Geomatica, ENVI etc.)
For Jr. Research Fellow(Remote Sensing & GIS Analyst):
- First class Master’s degree in Remote Sensing and GIS/Geo-informatics/GIST (or related subject).
- Desirable: Fast Learner and team worker. Good knowledge of spatial analysis using GIS and imaging software.

- First class Master’s degree in Remote Sensing and GIS/Geo-informatics/GIST/Earth Sciences/ Agricultural Sciences/Engineering (or related subject) with good knowledge of microwave remote sensing and statistical techniques as evident from thesis/ publications.
- Desirables: Fast Learner and team worker. Good knowledge of digital image processing and spatial analysis using GIS and Imaging software.
For Project Fellow:
- First class Graduate in Agricultural Sciences/Basic sciences/Engineering/Geography (or)First class Master degree in Remote Sensing and GIS/ Geo-informatics/Geography.
- Desirables: Good Knowledge of GIS and related application, software and tools with minimum six month experience ,software and tools with minimum six month experience sensing and GIS/Geo-informatics, in addition to Master’s Degree, may be given weightage.
