- Essential: Pass in three year Diploma in Commercial Practice/ Computer Engineering / Information Technology securing minimum of 60% of marks from a State Board of Technical Education.
- Desirable: Adequate knowledge in computer applications.
- Experience: Minimum four years post qualification experience in matters relating to Office work, Updating ERP System, Man hour Booking, Data entry, Record and Report Generation, maintenance of files, registers and records in a Shipyard or Engineering Company or Commercial Organisation or Government / Semi-Government Company / Establishment.
Upper Age Limit (as on 07.12.2020): 35 Years

- The selection process will be based on the basis of Objective type online Test – 70 marks (75 minutes duration) and Descriptive type Written Test – 30 marks and total-100 marks. Part A comprises of General Knowledge, General English, Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude.
- For Junior Technical Assistant (Mechanical) and Junior Commercial Assistant, the General Knowledge is for 5 questions, the General English is for 5 questions, the reasoning is for 5 questions, the Quantitative Aptitude is for 5 question, the Discipline related is for 50 questions. Total no. of questions for test / Max marks is 70.
- Depending upon the number of online applications, the selection process shall be held at Cochin
Shipyard Limited, Kochi or at any other place in Kochi/ Kerala. - A final merit lists for the respective posts/ categories shall be prepared based on the marks secured by the candidates in both Phase I and Phase II tests put together.
