Educational Qualification:
Senior Scientist & Head:
- Doctoral degree in relevant subject including relevant basic sciences with 8 years experience in the relevant subject as Scientist / Lecturer / Extension Specialist or in an equivalent position.
Subject Matter Specialist (Agronomy):
- Master’s degree in Agronomy or Equivalent qualifications from a recognized University.

- Post Graduation degree in Agrometeorology/ Meteorology/ Agronomy or/ Agriculture Physics, but preference will be given to candidates with Agrometeorology.
Agromet Observer:
- 12th in Science stream along with the basic knowledge of computer operations.
Age Limit :
- Senior Scientist & Head – 47 years
- Subject Matter Specialist (Agronomy) – 35 years
- Programme Assistant (Computer) – 30 years
- Subject Matter Specialist (Agro Meteorology) – 35 years
- Agromet Observer – 27 years
Relaxations in upper age limit:
- 3 years for Other Backward Classes (OBCs)
- 5 years for SC/STs.
- 10 years for PWD candidates
- Others as per govt rules

- Agromet Observer – Rs. 5,200-20,200/month
TNBRD Recruitment Selection Process:
The selection process will be based on Written Examination/Interview.

- For Programme Assistant, Agromet Observer – Rs.300/-
